From a young age has been an enthusiast of folklore, carrying out studies on Italian and international folklore. He has participated as group director and member of the jury in numerous festivals both in Italy and abroad. Was Director and responsible of the last 7 editions for the organization of the prestigious International Festival of Folklore which takes place each february in Agrigento (Sicily-Italy) for the passed 53 years and he is an active member of the Almond in Flower Feast which next february year celebrates 64 years anniversary. For the past 6 years he was head of the Department of Tourism of Agrigento.
