Founded in 2001, attached to a Chisinau Lyceum “Ginta Latină”, the Children Folk Dance Ensemble “Furnicuţa”, Laureate of the national and international folk dance contests, has asserted itself as an authentic group of taking over the task of propagation the beautiful and rich traditions, rituals and custom of the Moldovan people, assuming the noble task of being the messenger of the Moldovan children national art and culture. Among “Furnicuţa”’s performance successes can be mentioned the Silver Medal of the National Children Contest in Chişinău, as well as Diplomas of Laureate of International Children Folk Festivals held in Romania, Ukraine, Turkey and Germany.
At the moment “Furnicuţa” Children Folk Dance Ensemble consists of 32 children-dancers capable to promote abroad the national choreographic art of the Republic of Moldova.
“Furnicuţa” is seven years old, or rather young and full of creative initiatives. Its concerts go on around the world. Come to its performances and enjoy the temperamental music and vigorous Moldovan dances.
