Akasi - A Temple dedicated to Folk Culture, dance and music. Akasi developed as a Dream, a long time back in the lands of Europe and finally came into existence where it original belonged to- INDIA. Fascination towards Indian Folk Dance and music have given birth to Akasi and a proper shape and development of it was done by a long Research in various fields of Folk Culture. And now finally Akasi stands and represents the Indian Folk Dances and music of India in the very best and Original manner.

Katarzyna Czerewko, born and grown up in Poland, Right from the Childhood was attracted towards folk dances and music of the world. At a very young age of 13 yrs she performed her first Folk Dance in Poland Festival, since then have traveled all over Europe taking part and representing Polish folk Dances and music. Have been as a Translator and a Guide to folk groups of many countries in different Festivals. With such long Experience in Folk Field she also reached the position of Chairperson of her Group Biawena in Poland. During such folk culture exchange with different countries she have come in contact with INDIA too, which changed her entire life and gave a new meaning towards her interest in Folk. Have worked many times with Indian Folk groups in Polish Festivals. Fascination towards Indian folk dances and music have been flowing in her blood and she moved her steps in the Indian Rhythms. She gave many years of Research in Indian Folk and finally the spirits of her Interest in Indian folk finally made her travel all the way from Poland to India. She been traveling all over India and finding the True Folk in the most remote Areas of India. During such Travel she came across many dancers artist and musicians in the field of Folk. With the passion for Indian folk dances and Music she started her own Group/School “AKASI” Folk Dance Ensemble.
Group Members of Akasi have been in the folk fields for many many years and have been professionally participating/Dancing in various countries all over the World.
Akasi is Thankful to its backhand support of various Institutions like Aabha-Management Consultant, Jaggu-School of Dhol, Rhythm-the group of Vocal artist.
