Traditional Irish Dancers
The school was formed nearly 20years ago by Catherine Bartlett. It is a class of Traditional Irish Dancing and practises both light (soft shoe) and heavy (tap) dancing. Solo and team dancing are taught and traditional and original dancing is combined to ensure there is a wide range of steps and enjoyment for dancers and audience. Performance and competition work is undertaken throughout the year. Dancers from 5years through to adults take part and specialise in different areas of Irish Dancing.
The class is run from beginners through to advanced dancers and boasts European and Open Champions within the group.
The structure is built from the love of Irish Dancing and music with emphasis on strong technical footwork enhancing the graceful elegant style of Traditional Festival Irish Dancing and belongs to the association F.I.D.T.A. Festival Irish Dance Teachers Association.
