Trabzon is a province located in the middle part of the Black Sea region. In folkdance groups of Turkey, the folkdances of Trabzon is in “Horon” region dances. The characteristics of this region’s dances are determined by the insticts of the people living in this area. The dances in this area can continue for long hours. We can also see the effects of large waves of Blacksea and the lightnings in the dances.
The costumes that are used for folkdances for this region are not really different from the costumes used during daily life.
